How to join
The membership process is as easy as 1 2 3 ...
1 You come along to meet us any Saturday during opening hours, no appointment required and we will either help you to fill in your application form or if you prefer you can download the form at the bottom of this page, fill it in and bring it in to us in person along with the documentation listed in the appropriate part below and we process your application.
What sort of membership do I require and what do I need to bring?
If you are not a member of another club you need to apply for Primo membership:-
Bring with you 4 proper passport photos, photocopies, scans or home produced photos cannot be accepted, a medical certificate from your GP (ask for "un certificat medical avec mention Tir Sportif"), a copy of your passport or ID card and the correct membership fee of 161€ payable in cash or by cheque made payable to European club 700. We cannot process any application without all four of these.
If you are a member of another club and you do not want to transfer your membership you need to apply for a Carte 2eme Club:-
We require 4 proper passport photos as photocopies scans and home produced photos cannot be accepted, a photocopy of your passport / ID card, a photocopy of both sides of your valid in date licence that has been signed and stamped on the back by your GP and the correct membership fee of 110€ payable in cash or by cheque made payable to European club 700; again we cannot process any application without all four of these.
2 We then process your application.
Once you are accepted as a member you will be given a membership card and you will also be given a range pass that must be worn at all times when you are down at the ranges. Normally your range pass will be ready and waiting for you at the armoury the following Saturday after joining the club.
3 We then apply for your licence which includes insurance.
Licences normally take about 2-3 weeks to arrive but you are still able to join in the club activities and shoot whilst you are waiting for your licence. Once we receive your licence the President will validate it and you can take it to your GP for him/her to sign and stamp the back of it
Voila! Thats all there is to it.
Safety
As a member you are required to attend a compulsory gun handling and safety course, this is free to all our members . These courses are held on a Saturday and generally last about an hour depending on numbers present. You will be given a date as soon as possible after joining. The course will be given in English for those who don't speak French.
Membership application form translation
By law membership application forms must be in French but you can download the English translation of the application form and the club rules and constitution at the bottom of this page.
You will still need to come along and meet us face to face for us to be able to process your application form but we are all English speaking so you wont have any communication problems.
Transfers
Members of other clubs can transfer their existing membership to European Club 700 but must follow a set procedure for doing so.
Firstly you must write to your current club President informing him/her of your intention to transfer your membership to European Club 700 as a matter of courtesy.
You then request a transfer form from us which you must fill in. After completing it, hand it in to us along with a copy of the letter that you sent to your current President. Your application form will then be signed and stamped by the President of European Club 700 and your licence transfer will be processed by the club.
After a couple of weeks you will receive a new licence that is registered to European Club 700 which you should take to your GP to be signed and stamped on the back.
Guests
Member's are welcome to bring guests along, at the discretion of the Armoury and the President of the club. Members are responsible at all times for their guests behaviour and safety. Anyone acting in a dangerous or irresponsible manner will be asked to leave the range.
